Based on an interview by Talyaa Liera — This is about LIVING PURPOSE

UNCOVERING AND EXPRESSING ONE’S LIVING PURPOSE IS THE SECRET

How do people find their purpose? (What I call living purpose)

I can answer that by sharing three overviews of how to find what I call, Living Purpose”.

One

The first overview is to understand how hard it is to unlearn beliefshabits, and fears — facing these collectively — the ENEMY as I call it.

Two

A second overview is to learn the skill sets needed to uncover living purpose, and engage in processes that uncover living purpose that cannot be gotten from information alone.

Three

The third overview is to understand and own how you have resisted your living purpose.  That very resistance to one’s living purpose contains the living purpose itself!

Bottom line — I can show the way, but few people take the path.  Why?  People have to face their demons along with their deepest hurts and fears.  Their deepest hurts, fears, and demons are their living purpose, or better said, their demons, hurts and fears were forged out of their living purpose that they deny.

And facing your demons takes being VERY uncomfortable.  Most people would rather remain comfortable and live a shell of existence, rather than get into massive discomfort to live fully, brilliantly, magnificently.

Make sense?  Actually it usually doesn’t make sense, for most people do not understand that their hurts and fears create some of their greatest skills, gifts, and talents.

You have witnessed and facilitated many people uncovering and understanding their purpose.  What happens to people when they understand their living purpose?

When people FEEL their living purpose, they light up.  They come alive.  And so far, without exception, they have exclaimed to one extent or another, “Oh my god, I had no idea!  They usually cry, as their deeper truths are revealed.

One of my favorite experiences that I get to witness and enjoy with my clients is the ecstatic and euphoric nature of an uncovering, feeling and knowing their living purpose.

Does everyone have a living purpose?

Yes!!!

How do you know?

I don’t know for sure.  But I fully believe it, based on a clarity I hold of our magnificent essence.  Inherent within the nature of our magnificent essence is our living purpose.

Does everyone find their living purpose?

No.  They don’t know how, or they don’t do the work when presented with a path.

What happens in a person’s life when they don’t find their living purpose?

That’s the reason too many people are miserable — they haven’t allowed themselves to feel their living purpose. If you don’t want to be miserable, then uncover, feel and express your living purpose.

What is the biggest challenge in uncovering one’s living purpose?

When a person feels their aliveness — which is part of the process of uncovering living purpose — they encounter their resistance to feeling alive they have felt and compiled over their lifetime.

In other words, for someone to uncover their purpose, they must wake up, become alive — and face their resistance in that expanding aliveness!

Uncovering one’s living purpose is very hard because people make it hard.  People resist life.  They squirm against life.  They try to wiggle out from underneath life.

Once someone feels more alive, more of their life, they will feel the pain that they have suppressed, their hurts, their fears, their discomfort they have run from.

Bottom line — people don’t uncover their living purpose, because they don’t want to feel what comes up when they feel alive in their living purpose: all their past pain of resisting life!

What if the secret to life is to uncover your living purpose, FEEL it, and LIVE it?

Earlier you gave overviews about purpose.  You said that there are three facets to how you help people find purpose.  The first way was about unlearning beliefs, habits, and fears.  Facing the enemy, as you call it.  Can you speak more about that?

  1. We are indoctrinated (with BELIEFS)
  2. And then programmed (beliefs turned into actions that over time become consistent unconscious actions — HABITS)
  3. Then conditioned (triggers are created to make sure the conditioning entity gets the environment that promotes the feeling of — FEAR, which in turn insures the programmed habits are automatically and subconsciously engaged)

All of this is done with the main intention of making sure a person subconsciously resists life.  When a person resists life, they basically live in a state of survival, fear, which clamps down and hides our magnificent essence.  Resisting our magnificent essence stops people from thinking critically for themselves, and also making sure their living purpose remains elusive.  An individual without aligning with their essence, expressing their living purpose is easily reliant on what marketers want, governments want, and their families and communities also resisting life want.

This is the secret hidden conspiracy that isn’t a conspiracy as much as this — don’t call me on my stuff, don’t wake me up and I will in return do the same for you.

One of the largest collective forces that makes it so challenging to accept our essence, which in turn illuminates our living purpose, is we must go against society’s indoctrination of the beliefs, programming of habits, and the resultant conditioning of fears from those beliefs and habits — what I keep referring to as THE HIDDEN ENEMY.

This HIDDEN ENEMY may be the fictitious entity that so many cultures, religions and people refer to in their distinctive language as the “devil”.  I love the quote heard in the movie, “Usual Suspects”:” The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was to convince the world he didn’t exist.”  This quote is attributed to Baudelaire from his story “Le Joueur Généreux”, 1864.  However, John Wilkinson wrote this sentiment predating Baudelaire’s quote in “Quakerism Examined”, 1836.

I share all of this to give understanding of how powerful many forces exert upon us, not necessarily with malicious intent, but to manipulate us to act in a way that gets them what they want:  power, influence, status, money, …. And for most people, they remain unconscious of their innate power, plugged into the “matrix”, brought into the mainstream collective consciousness by the movies brilliantly created by that name.

Bottom line:  those that truly think for themselves must contend with all the people that — out of fear (great majority of all), don’t want to wake up, becoming conscious that they have been manipulated and unconsciously made to believe that they are reliant on buying this and that to be accepted (fashion), must smell a certain way to not be ostracized (deodorant), must eat/drink/consume certain products to be healthy (healthcare manufacturing — vitamins, supplements, …), do exactly what the medical community states is the ONLY way that works to deal with health conditions (RX, surgery, radiation/chemo — though immunotherapy actually aligns with our essence waaaaay more than all of the other ways the medical community insists is THE way to deal with medical conditions), …

This list is huge.  Waking up your life means you “take arrows” (anger projections) from people — you will get the projections along with anger that you are a problem, and a threat to everyone else.

I can help people, as I have helped people do this; however, for the great majority of people, it’s too scary — I’m asking them to turn their world upside down and feel their pain!  Actually the world they and we live in IS upside down, and I am asking them to put it right side up!  They are not embracing life.

The second facet of uncovering living purpose that you mentioned was about teaching skill sets involved.  I am not sure what this means.  What skills would someone need?

Once a person uncovers their living purpose and FEELS their purpose, they need MASTER STRATEGIES of how to integrate their living purpose into their life.  For most people, their life is a mess until they uncover their living purpose.  It is upside down, and prevents living passionately.

In the American culture, a western civilization, our education system teaches us to conform to one model of learning when in fact there are many ways that people learn.  For some, our education mostly shuts down their living purpose, repressing their uniqueness, and they may never recover.

Most individual’s creativity is often what is shut down by our educational system.  Then you lay on top of that our lack of parenting skills — OMG, that is so messed up.  What if part of our education system made it mandatory to educate incredible parenting skills, and maybe even require a 400 hour course to graduate to parent?  My fantasy is we would have that.

Current parenting creates so many clients for therapists.

And the third facet of uncovering living purpose was about people understanding and claiming how they have resisted their living purpose.  You said that this process — accepting one’s resistance — was actually the process of uncovering living purpose.  Do you mean to say that people would rather resist their living purpose than know their living purpose?

Yes.  They’re indoctrinated, programmed, and conditioned to resist.  All of what most people know is to keep doing the same thing, which is to resist knowing and feeling one’s living purpose.

And what’s even worse is we have more indoctrination, programming, and conditioning to NOT FEEL LIFE.  People believe they are supposed to THINK life.  They will never get to their living purpose that way.

I don’t understand — this seems like a paradox, that understanding how I’ve resisted my living purpose helps me know my living purpose.  Can you speak more to that?

You’re asking what the paradox is in The Paradox Cure.

How we resist and what we resist is actually US.  We resist our magnificent essence, our original nature.  Once you understand what you resist and how you resist, you better understand your nature, your essence.

However, you cannot get the understanding of how and what you resist until you FEEL how and what you resist.  In other words, you must FEEL your resistance and accept it to then understand.  Understanding is the head stuff.  You cannot understand resistance until you have FELT the resistance.  Does that help?

So I have to feel my living purpose to understand it?

Yes.

What might that feel like?

It’s most likely going to hurt like hell at first, because to feel your living purpose you must first feel all the ways you have resisted and shut down your living purpose.  That hurts.  It’s painful.

It is so painful to clamp down on this power of our essence that wants to radiate and shine its brilliance.  It hurts to shut that down, which is what people do all the time.  I see most people crying deep down inside, in great pain, because they are clamping down on their magnificence that wants to burst forth.

The pressure of holding all of our magnificence in is immense, which is why people are so depressed and in despair, resignation, and cynicism.  Most of their energy is going into clamping down on the pressure of their magnificent essence trying to burst forth.

Bottom line — everyone’s a pressure cooker.  And they wonder why they don’t have any energy.

Is finding one’s living purpose what some people call enlightenment?

No.  Enlightenment is a symptom of feeling and expressing one’s living purpose fully.

Is there anything else you want to say?

Hell, yes!  Before, I said the biggest problem that people have is resisting their magnificent essence.  The corollary to that is that the secret to life, the universe — and everything — is simple: FEEL and EXPRESS your living purpose, which is accepting your magnificent essence.

Want to be the next awesome religious figurehead you can think of?  Just feel and express your living purpose.

Sometimes enlightenment gets in the way of feeling and expressing our living purpose.  Most people I have encountered want to understand enlightenment — which keeps them from feeling their life.  Again, enlightenment is a symptom of feeling and expressing one’s living purpose.

What’s the use of finding one’s living purpose?  Only so many of us can evolve to the level of a Buddha.

Your question has contained within it a resistance to life.  You just spoke volumes to me of how YOU might be resisting life.

Here’s something to feel on — not think on, but FEEL on:  what if a million Buddhas lived in the world?  I believe we are long overdue for a million people feeling and expressing their living purpose.

This might be hard to believe — there are millions of people all over the planet feeling and expressing their purpose now, but the ENEMY hides them.  The enemy has indoctrinated, programmed, and conditioned us to not notice people feeling and expressing their living purpose.

I believe just about everyone has seen, known or been in the presence of a modern-day Buddha, feeling and expressing their purpose fully – but how would you know if they are in the shadow of the enemy?  They could be next door, or that friend that always seems happy, or that annoying life coach/therapist that always says it is not too hard to have a life you truly love!
