This is my first day living in Seattle, 8 months after I snapped out of a 4 ½ year Tango Trance through my exploration of how I have not been fully authentic in Tango nor life by dancing and living as an apology.
Could it be true that pretty much we all believe on some level that we are NOT OK – even the high level dancers that can get a dance with most anyone. Furthermore, most likely many believe, “I am NOT OK, but you ARE OK” or an 80’s pop-psych affirmation, “I am OK, and you are OK.” However, a deeper truth hidden within the Tango Matrix is, “I am NOT OK, and you are NOT OK – but that is OK.”
I can sum up my experiences as “living between the Tango beats.” Years ago I became aware of how much exists between the beats in Tango music. Now I sense that I just entered the space between the beats of Life. Here is some of what has altered.
Yet, what fascinates me is how many people in Tango do not see nor seize their cubic centimeter of chance. In effect, they take the blue pill of the Tango Matrix by leaving Tango or allowing Tango to be just a dance.
I am alert for a cubic centimeter of chance to come my way as I flirt with swallowing the red pill to access the Tango Matrix.
Similar to Neo, I believe a Matrix exists in Tango, as I feel an underground current of dissatisfaction pulling incessantly at my Tango bliss when I am not dancing. Does anyone else in the world of Tango sense that a deeper truth awaits them as I do? Neo is different than most of his peers in that he feels this incessant inkling while almost everyone goes about their entire lives connected to the Matrix unaware their reality is not in fact real.
